Job summary

UTHealth Houston’s Pedi Neurosurgery department seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide specialized evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for adults and select pediatric patients with voice, airway, and swallowing disorders in a tertiary academic medical center.

Responsibilities include videostroboscopy, FEES, MBSS, therapy plan development, and coordination of care for surgical patients. TD-LR licensed SLP and CCC-SLP required, master’s in SLP, CFY preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in Texas (TDLR)
• ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) required
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology; CFY experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic assessments including videostroboscopy, FEES, and MBSS.
• Develop and implement therapy plans for adult and select pediatric patients.
• Coordinate pre- and post-operative therapy for patients undergoing laryngology-related surgery.
• Document patient progress and reports; may coordinate related programs.
• May recruit subjects for research initiatives within the department.
