Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to conduct objective assessments and create comprehensive individualized treatment plans for diverse patients. The position requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, a current or provisional SLP license, and ASHA certification within one year of hire.

BLS certification is also required, and incumbents must remain current on all certifications to treat patients independently.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Current or provisional SLP license in applicable State of practice.
• ASHA Certification within 1 year of hire (extension at leader's discretion).
• BLS certification required.
• Certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
• Must be able to respond to emergency situations.
• Preferred: one year of experience; experience with patients of all ages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs objective assessments and develops comprehensive individualized treatment programs.
• Adheres to departmental policies and procedures regarding referrals.
• Responds to emergency situations as needed.
