Job summary

Encore Rehabilitation Services is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with communication and/or swallowing disorders. The Staff Speech Pathologist will perform evaluations, develop treatment plans and participate in departmental operations under the Clinical Director’s guidance.

Responsibilities include screen/diagnose disorders across ages, manage therapy services, discharge planning, and staff development.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s or doctoral degree with CCC-SLP and State License.
• Experience: Prefer completion of clinical fellowship year or supervision by a CCC-SLP.

Responsibilities

• Screen, identify, assess and rehabilitate speech, language, and dysphagia disorders.
• Screen and interpret cognitive/communication disorders.
• Develop and implement treatment plans and goals.
• Maintain records and progress notes.
• Discharge planning and documentation of outcomes.
• Provide staff in-service programs as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, families and other professionals.
• Under clinical direction, provide treatment based on physician prescriptions.
