Job summary

Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital is seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist to join the Speech Pathology Unit in Santa Rosa. The 8-hour day shifts provide consistent daytime coverage and collaborative care with the team.

The role focuses on assessment, treatment planning, implementation, and education addressing speech, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, with supervisory guidance as needed to ensure patient-centered outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
• CFY completion or eligibility required.
• California SLP license required upon hire.
• BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
• Plan and implement evidence-based speech-language pathology interventions.
• Educate patients and families; demonstrate techniques for home use.
• Provide supervisory guidance as needed within the unit.

Job description

Speech Language Pathologist in Speech Pathology Unit at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. This position is Part time and will work 8-hour Day Shifts.

The practice of speech-language pathology shall include assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, communication, and demonstration of techniques addressing speech language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders to meet the needs of patients and their families with supervisory guidance provided as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
• Completion of, or eligibility for, Clinical Fellowship Year.
• Coursework/Training: Speech-Language Pathology Area of Specialization - Completion of competencies for:
• Therapeutic feedings,
• Patient transfers, and
• Assistance with Modified Barium Swallow studies.
• Upon hire: California Speech Language Pathologist License
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Educated or trained in dysphagia assessment and management.
• 1 year acute care or inpatient rehabilitation experience.
