Job summary

Helen M. Simpson Rehabilitation Hospitals is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for per diem inpatient rehabilitation services in Mechanicsburg, PA.

The role focuses on evaluating patients with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries and other neurological or orthopedic conditions, developing tailored treatment plans, and coordinating therapy services with the care team. The ideal candidate will hold state SLP licensure with CLS certification or be within 90 days of completing it; CCC is

  • Current state licensure as Speech Language Pathologist required.
  • Certified CLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction.
  • Oversees delegation and direction of all therapy services for assigned patients.
  • Designs functional treatment programs enabling return to community activities and educates patients, families, students and colleagues.
  • Coordinates treatment program with other clinical services and community resources.
  • Performs other professional duties related to patient care and program delivery.

$65.00 per hour

  • Coordinate treatment program in conjunction with other clinical/therapeutic services as available community resources.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current state licensure as Speech Language Pathologist required.
  • Certified CLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association preferred
