Qualifications

• Licensed SLP in Indiana
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred/required as applicable
• Current BLS certification
• Strong clinical judgment and communication
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with rehab teams

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized speech-language therapy treatment plans
• Provide evidence-based therapy addressing communication, cognition, speech and swallowing
• Monitor resident progress, update goals, and modify treatment plans as appropriate
• Conduct swallowing assessments and dysphagia interventions as indicated
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team for rehabilitation outcomes
• Educate residents, families and caregivers on strategies for communication, cognition and safe swallowing
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure regulatory compliance

Schedule: PRN (As Needed)

Shady Nook Nursing and Rehab is seeking a compassionate and dedicated PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team in Lawrenceburg, IN. This flexible opportunity is ideal for a skilled clinician who is passionate about helping residents improve communication, cognition, swallowing, and overall quality of life through individualized, patient-centered care.

What You'll Do:

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized speech-language therapy treatment plans

• Provide evidence-based therapy interventions addressing communication, cognition, speech, and swallowing needs

• Monitor resident progress, update goals, and modify treatment plans as appropriate

• Conduct swallowing assessments and provide appropriate dysphagia interventions as indicated

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support coordinated and effective rehabilitation outcomes

• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on strategies and techniques to support communication, cognition, and safe swallowing

• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of Indiana

• Master's degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program

• Current ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred/required as applicable

• Current BLS certification

• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to patient-centered care

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the rehabilitation and interdisciplinary teams
