Lifepoint Rehabilitation is a leading provider of acute inpatient rehabilitation services with more than 300 hospital-based rehabilitation units, medical/surgical and outpatient therapy settings and more than 30 joint venture inpatient rehabilitation hospitals across the country. What you will do in this role:

  1. Play an important part in helping our patients recover and feel better about themselves by providing therapy to maximize speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities.
  2. Communicate patient progress or problems to the supervisor and other team members; assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records.
  3. Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
  4. Instruct patients' families or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
  5. Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
  6. Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards, and applicable state/federal laws.
  7. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Graduate of a master's level program in Speech Language Pathology which is accredited by the Education Standards Board or whose practice meets ASHA certification requirements.
  2. Meet the education and experience requirements for Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology granted by ASHA.
  3. Minimum of six months speech therapist / speech language pathologist experience working with an adult and geriatric population.
  4. Current and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where services are rendered.
  5. Current CPR certification.
  6. Strong organizational and communication skills.
