Job summary

A Skilled Nursing Facility is seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist to improve patients' speech and language abilities. Responsibilities include providing treatment programs, supervising clinical staff, and managing the Medicare review process. The ideal candidate must be licensed in Montana and have a degree in Speech Pathology. Experience in a skilled nursing environment is essential. This is a full-time position located in Kalispell, MT.

  • CPR certified.

Job description

A great Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) is looking for an experienced, hard-working Speech Language Pathologist to join their growing team inKalispell, MT.

The Speech Language Pathologist performs comprehensive evaluation and treatment as prescribed by a physician, to improve or restore a patient’s ability to function independently.He/she willplan, organize, develop, and administer speech therapy services to ensure safe and effective treatment plans for patients.

Job Description
  • Provides treatment programs to maximize speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities within each patient’s structural or functional limitations
  • Utilizing appropriate evaluation tools and completing accurate evaluations.
  • Supervising Clinical Fellow and other SLPs in direct patient care and patient related activities.

Writing specific, objective documentation, which is outcome oriented and details the patient’s needs, potential to benefit from treatment, and progress achieved to date. Includes specific, objective measurable goals.

Managing Medicare Medical Review and Denials process in conjunction with Director of Rehabilitation and therapy staff

Qualifications
  • Availability to work full-time as aLicensed Speech Language Pathologist(SLP) in Montana
  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited Speech Therapy program.

Knowledge in Speech-Language Pathology evaluation and treatment as they relate to medically based speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Ability to supervise and direct assistants and aides.

Knowledge of medical terminology.

Ability to work with all types and levels of staff and patients.

  • Experience in a skilled nursing facility
  • CPR certified
