Job summary

CommuniCare Rehab is seeking a Part Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for Rolling Hills Healthcare Center in New Albany, IN. This in-house position supports our residents by evaluating and treating speech, swallowing, and cognitive issues, in a collaborative rehab team environment.

The role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to serve residents across multiple locations, contributing to person-centered care and professional growth within the CommuniCare Family of Companies.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s and/or a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an Accredited Program.
• Hold a valid or pending State Speech Language Pathology License.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, review, and screen patient’s/resident’s medical charts, evaluations under physician order and develop a treatment plan.
• Plan, direct, or conduct rehabilitative treatment programs to improve communication, swallowing, and/or cognitive problems; administer, score, and interpret specialized speech tests.
• Instruct residents, families, and caregivers to monitor speech and provide ways to practice new skills, diet recommendations, and modifications for safe swallowing techniques.
• Attend/Lead interdisciplinary meetings as appropriate to relay clinical findings and make recommendations to other members of the rehab team, as well as participating in family meetings/education.

Education
