Job summary

Lively Therapy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide individualized, evidence-based therapy for autistic children across age ranges in the Jacksonville area. The role emphasizes AAC integration, feeding/swallowing support, and collaboration with family and multidisciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates are passionate about supporting autistic children and families, with strong training and clinical support available to deliver high-quality care in a busy, child-centered setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pediatric speech and language evaluations; develop care plans and provide evidence-based interventions.
• Assess and support complex communication needs, including AAC evaluations and device trials.
• Provide intervention in feeding/swallowing, CAS, and dysarthria per clinical training.
• Coach and coordinate with caregivers, SLPs, OTs, PTs, and BCBAs for meaningful communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation meeting insurance, Florida Board, and clinic requirements.

At Lively Therapy, we specialize in providing individualized, evidence based therapy to autistic infants, toddlers, children, and adolescents with diverse communication and developmental needs. Here is a list of what a typical week looks like in this role:

• Evaluation & Treatment: Conduct pediatric speech and language evaluations, develop individualized plans of care, and provide evidence based interventions.


• AAC & Complex Communication: Assess and support children with complex communication needs, including AAC evaluations, device trials, and implementation using and teaching the team to honor multimodal communication.


• Specialized Therapy: Provide intervention in areas such as pediatric feeding and swallowing, childhood apraxia of speech, and dysarthria, based on clinical experience and training.


• Family Education and Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Provide caregiver, SLPs, OTs, PTs, and BCBAs coaching, education, and coordination of care, strategies to support meaningful communication, and skill development.


• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate, timely documentation that meets insurance, Florida Board, and clinic requirements.

We are looking for SLPs who are passionate about supporting autistic children and their families, and who are ready to join an experienced team with strong clinical support and training. This role will serve many clients with AAC needs. Specialized experience in AAC, feeding/swallowing or motor speech disorders is preferred, but not required.
