Job Position:

Speech Language Pathologist for an In-house Skilled Nursing Facility

Job Type:

Full Time, Part Time, or PRN positions available.

Job Purpose:

To assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing Speech Language Pathology services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure the highest degree of quality resident care is always maintained.

Job Functions include:
  • Providing quality speech therapy services and initiating referrals when appropriate, in accordance with established standards of practice, therapy department procedures, and productivity standards.
  • Evaluating and obtaining data necessary for treatment planning and implementation.
  • Developing a treatment plan that includes a target list, short-term, and long-term goals.
  • Instructing patients, families, and staff in appropriate speech-language procedures to allow carry-over of therapeutic remediation and goals in daily activities.
  • Completing compliant and medically necessary documentation from CMS expectations in NetHealth EMR systems.
  • Overseeing and implementing proper protocols for FEES/MBS with coordination of site programs.
  • Participating in screening protocols to establish residents' needs are met timely and with clinical excellence.
Education & Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency.
  • Must have an active SLP license in the state(s) of practice.
  • Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification.
