Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to support students’ communication development in a school setting near Hampton, VA. This contract opportunity involves collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to help students thrive academically and socially.

The role includes evaluating and treating speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders, developing IEPs, providing direct therapy, and participating in MDT meetings.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Active state licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong CFYs are encouraged to apply.
  • Previous experience working with children or within school environments is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of IEP processes, speech/language assessments, and therapy documentation.
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the education team.
  • Provide direct therapy sessions and consultative support to educators and families.
  • Monitor progress and maintain accurate, timely records of student performance and interventions.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
  • Foster an inclusive, engaging environment that promotes student growth and confidence.
