Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Create goals and adjust treatment plans to progress patients toward discharge.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to address barriers to discharge and patient/family training.
  • Manage individual and group treatment sessions according to patient needs.
  • Complete accurate medical-record documentation per state and federal guidelines.
  • Support student programs and provide positive learning experiences for students.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and community advocacy.

Job Description

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patients' needs and physician direction. This role emphasizes superior quality in care, patient and employee safety, and effective collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Utilize clinical reasoning to create goals focused on progressing patients towards discharge.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address discharge barriers, including equipment trialing and patient/family training.
  • Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions effectively based on patient care needs.
  • Complete medical record documentation accurately, in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Participate in student program assignments, ensuring positive learning experiences for students.
  • Engage in professional development through continuing education and community advocacy efforts.
  • Maintain ethical standards and compliance with discipline-specific regulations and codes of conduct.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association.
  • BLS Certification.
  • One or more years of clinical experience.
  • FEES Certification.
