Origin Travel Nurses is seeking an Inpatient Speech-Language Pathologist for a 13-week contract in Topeka, KS. You will provide comprehensive assessment and treatment for patients with communication and swallowing disorders in an inpatient setting.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• At least 1 year of inpatient experience preferred.
• Familiarity with stroke, Parkinson's and other neurological conditions.
• Epic charting experience preferred.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Inpatient Speech-Language Pathologist with at least one year of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive assessment and treatment for patients with communication and swallowing disorders in an inpatient setting. Experience with dysphagia and cognitive deficits is essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and treatment for patients with swallowing, language, and cognitive deficits.
• Implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses and therapy processes.
• Utilize appropriate tools and techniques for communication and swallowing assessments.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS certification required.
• 1 year of relevant experience in an inpatient setting preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
• Familiarity with treatment of stroke, Parkinson's disease, and other neurological conditions.
