Qualifications

• Must hold a valid NC Speech Language Pathologist license.
• Certificate of clinical competence from ASHA expected or in progress.
• Strong computer skills required; EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, or swallowing issues.
• Develop and revise individualized treatment plans based on evaluations and physician directives.
• Document patient care accurately using electronic tablets.

Job description

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a per diem home health position serving adult and geriatric patients in Catawba County.

Prior home care experience is a plus but not required.

As an SLP, you will be a vital part of a multidisciplinary team providing rehabilitative and skilled nursing care to enable patients to remain at home.

Responsibilities:

1. Make home visits within designated areas.
2. Perform evaluations, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, or swallowing issues.
3. Develop and revise individualized treatment plans based on evaluations and physician directives.
4. Participate in multidisciplinary care planning.
5. Educate patients and families on rehabilitative activities to promote health and safety.
6. Document patient care accurately using electronic tablets.

Qualifications:

1. Current NC Speech Language Pathologist license.
2. Certificate of clinical competence from ASHA or equivalent, or in the process of obtaining it.
3. Strong computer skills; experience with EMR preferred.
