Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with an accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations

Additional Job Information

Adoration Home Health / BrightSpring Health Services, an affiliated company who employs those individuals working for Adoration Home Health recently acquired certain Amedisys home health and hospice operations and is recruiting candidates for open positions within those operations. The successful candidate will initially be employed by Amedisys until January 1, 2026 at the latest. During this period, Amedisys will perform all administrative onboarding activities and offer benefits coverage under Amedisys employee benefit plans.
