Job summary

Adoration Health is seeking a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in Morgantown, WV on a PRN basis. This role focuses on 1:1 patient care, delivering expert SLP services in a home health setting, with flexibility and supportive team collaboration.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Speech Language Pathology, current license, and BLS/CPR certification, with at least one year of experience. Competitive benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' speech or language needs and determine therapy continuation.
• Teach sounds and voice improvement techniques.
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language.
• Educate healthcare team and caregivers to support ongoing progress outside of direct therapy sessions.
• Document progress and clinical notes noting patient’s response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy.

Responsibilities

As a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist, You will:

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
