Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• A minimum of one year’s experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current BLS or CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' speech or language difficulty levels.
• Teach patients how to improve their voices.
• Teach sign language to patients with speech capability limitations.
• Educate healthcare team members on therapeutic exercises.
• Document patient progress and submit visit documentation.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
