Job summary

Ochsner Rehabilitation Hospital in New Orleans, LA, is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - CCC for per diem/as-needed coverage. Immediate start with extensive orientation and potential path to full-time opportunities.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing and adjusting therapy plans, and coordinating with other services to support functional community reintegration. Current state licensure required; CCC preferred; CLS certification or 90-day completion required.

• Current state licensure as Speech Language Pathologist required.
• Certified CLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
• CCC from ASHA preferred

Responsibilities

• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plans as directed by the physician.
• Coordinates treatment programs with other clinical services as available resources.
• Delegates and directs therapy services for assigned patients.
• Educates patients, families, students, and colleagues about therapy plans and progress.
• Contributes to design and delivery of program services aimed at functional return to community activities.

Compensation: $45.00 per hour

• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services and design of program delivery.
• Coordinate treatment program in conjunction with other clinical/therapeutic services as available community resources.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current state licensure as Speech Language Pathologist required.
• Certified CLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required

Preferred Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association preferred
