Job summary

Willow Tree Healthcare Center currently seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our in-house therapy team at our Charles Town, WV location. The SLP will evaluate, plan, and implement therapy programs to support residents’ communication, swallowing, and cognitive needs.

This is a full-time role with opportunities to collaborate across disciplines, contribute to care planning, and participate in family education.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s and/or a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an Accredited Program.
• Hold a valid or pending State Speech Language Pathology License.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, review, and screen patient’s/resident’s medical charts and evaluations under physician order; develop a treatment plan.
• Plan, direct, or conduct rehabilitative treatment programs to improve communication, swallowing, and/or cognitive problems; administer and interpret speech tests.
• Instruct residents, families, and caregivers on monitoring speech and practicing new skills; provide diet and swallowing modification guidance.
• Attend/interdisciplinary meetings to relay findings and participate in family meetings/education.
