Job summary

Bridge Crest Post Acute is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our care team in Washington. The part-time position offers compensation of $49–$55/hour DOE.

Responsibilities include evaluating residents, developing treatment plans, and coordinating with the interdisciplinary team to support recovery and comfortable discharge planning. You will educate residents and families, document progress, and participate in quality assurance activities in a supportive, team-driven

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or higher.
  • Licensed/eligible in the state of Washington.
  • Ability to read and interpret policies and procedures.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs per physician orders.
  • Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing.
  • Collaborate with nursing and rehab staff to meet goals and discharge planning.
  • Provide in-services and training for staff as needed.
  • Complete timely, accurate documentation in compliance with regulations.
  • Educate residents and families on treatment goals and home exercise programs.

If you are committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a supportive and team-driven environment, we'd love to meet you.* **Essential Duties**+ Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs, functional limitations, and rehabilitation potential in accordance with physician orders and facility policies+ Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional independence+ Assist nursing department with training of Restorative Aides+ Participates in ongoing communication with a supervising SLP to meet or exceed American SpeechLanguage-Hearing Association (ASHA) minimum supervision requirements+ Communicate regularly with physicians, nursing staff, interdisciplinary team members, residents, and families regarding progress, goals, and discharge planning+ Participates in Resident Care conferences, Utilization Review meetings, and Rehabilitation meetings as needed+ Provides in-services on training programs for other staff in the facility as needed+ Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation in accordance with facility, governmental, and third-party payer requirements+ Maintain a safe treatment environment by following infection control, safety, and equipment maintenance protocols+ Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment goals, home exercise programs, maintenance programs, safety techniques, and aspiration prevention strategies+ Recommend and facilitate the ordering of necessary durable medical equipment for residents to facilitate independence in swallows and cognition+ Contribute to quality assurance, performance improvement initiatives, and facility rehabilitation program development as assigned+ Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, staff, and professional colleagues* **Qualifications**+ **Education and/or Experience**- Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, prefer graduates of Masters or Doctorate Program in Speech-Language Pathology- Proficient in computer skills such as inputting data into programs such as Net Health and Point Click Care+ **Language Skills**- Ability to read technical procedures- Ability to read and comprehend policy and procedure manual- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, coworkers and families+ **Mathematical Skills**- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations+ **Reasoning Ability**- Ability to solve practical problem- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form+ **Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations**- Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Washington- Employee must meet continuing education requirements per state practices- Must maintain a license in good standing at all time with the state board.
