Job summary

Birchwood Health & Rehab in Sarasota, Florida is seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat adults and diverse populations. You will conduct thorough assessments, create personalized therapy plans, deliver evidence-based treatment for communication and swallowing, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery.

Requires Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, current state licensure or eligibility, and CCC-SLP preferred; we offer

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility to practice as an SLP.
  • CCC-SLP certification preferred.
  • Strong clinical expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and therapy planning.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work with diverse patients across ages and conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique goals.
  • Deliver therapy for communication disorders, fluency challenges, voice issues, and swallowing difficulties.
  • Use evidence-based methods and cutting-edge techniques to boost patient progress.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated, comprehensive care.
  • Track patient progress, document sessions, and maintain detailed records.
  • Educate patients and families on communication strategies for everyday success.
