Job summary

Children’s Specialized ABA in Newark, New Jersey seeks a dedicated full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and communication needs in children with ASD. Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current and valid New Jersey licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • 2+ years of experience working with children with ASD.
  • 2+ years of experience in language development, speech sound disorders, and feeding/oral motor skills preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage a full-time caseload and collaborate within a multidisciplinary clinical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to assess communication skills, including articulation, fluency, language comprehension, social communication, and pragmatics.
  • Interpret assessment results and develop individualized treatment plans and goals aligned with each child’s needs and ABA objectives.
  • Implement evidence-based speech and language therapies using techniques that promote language acquisition, communication development, and social interaction.
  • Tailor interventions for children with ASD to enhance functional communication and reduce communication-related challenges.
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy in accordance with individualized treatment plans.
  • Work alongside BCBAs and other clinical professionals to create and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with ABA, occupational therapy, behavioral health, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to support whole-child care.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, case reviews, and training to ensure an integrated approach to client care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and communication logs.
  • Prepare reports summarizing progress and outcomes to share with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor and evaluate client progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed.

Join Us as a Speech-Language Pathologist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Children’s Specialized ABA.

In this role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication needs. You will apply evidence-based therapeutic approaches to enhance communication skills, social interaction, and overall quality of life for children receiving Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services.

This position is ideal for a clinician who enjoys assessment and treatment, values interdisciplinary collaboration, and wants to contribute specialized communication expertise within an integrated autism care model.

What You’ll Do
Assessment and Diagnosis
  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to assess communication skills, including articulation, fluency, language comprehension, social communication, and pragmatics.

Work Location & Hours

This is a full-time, in-person position based out of our Newark, NJ Early Intervention Center. Clinical services are provided onsite, with documentation and administrative responsibilities completed in accordance with departmental expectations.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this full-time role is $90,000–$100,000 per year.

Final compensation will be based on a range of factors, including skills, education, experience, certifications, market conditions, and internal equity. All offers are made in alignment with applicable federal and state laws.
