Job summary

Bond Health is seeking a Speech Therapist to provide assessments and evidence-based therapy to children within educational settings. You will collaborate with families, teachers, and a diverse clinical team to support individualized goals under IFSP/IEP plans.

Requirements include a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, NY licensure, and CCC. Prior school experience and comfort with AAC/PECS are preferred; excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• CCC certification and state licensure required or eligible.
• Experience in school-based speech-language pathology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language assessments and therapy to students under IFSP/IEP/IFSP timelines.
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Plan and conduct evidence-based interventions aligned with goals.
• Document progress and complete required reports timely.
• Assess oral motor development and feeding-related abilities.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on identified needs.
• Utilize AAC devices and augmentative communication strategies.
• Maintain progress notes and attendance records.
• Communicate with families and team members regularly.
• Support CFYs and supervise students as assigned.

Speech Therapists Needed – Working with Children

Summary

Under general direction, the Speech Therapist is responsible for providing speech and language assessments and therapy services to students in accordance with the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP), Individualized Education Plan (IEP), or Interim Individualized Education Plan. The role includes collaboration with parents, guardians, and interdisciplinary team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language assessments and evaluations to determine student needs and developmental levels
• Analyze test results and prepare written summaries for Early Intervention, CPSE, CSE, and related agencies
• Plan and conduct speech and language interventions aligned with established goals
• Implement testing procedures to evaluate and monitor student progress
• Prepare and submit required written reports and documentation
• Assess oral motor development and feeding-related abilities
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on identified needs
• Remain current with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) techniques
• Implement and support appropriate use of AAC devices and assistive technology
• Maintain attendance records and progress notes
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and team members
• Participate in team meetings, evaluations, and case conferences
• Ensure services are consistent with educational goals and regulatory requirements
• Complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner
• Provide supervision to students and CFYs as assigned

Education & Experience

Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology

One year of prior Speech Therapy experience preferred

License / Certification Requirements

• Current New York State License in Speech and Language Pathology
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) required
• NYSED Certification as a TSHH or TSSLD required
