Qualifications

Angels of Care - Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Opportunity

Angels of Care currently has opportunities for part-time or full-time certified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP).

Angels of Care Pediatric Home Health is a clinician-owned and operated home health agency with experienced staff serving the special needs community. Pay Range: $52,200 - $156,000

Job Description:

A certified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will implement treatment programs to assist pediatric patients with cognitive, speech, language, feeding/swallowing, and/or social/emotional disabilities and delays by planning and administering speech therapy services in the home and community.

Requirements:
  • ASHA certification
  • Texas State SLP License
  • Current CPR certification
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience preferred
Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care, perform evaluations, interpret assessment results, and develop appropriate goals for each child, creating and implementing speech therapy treatment plans in conjunction with the physician.
  • Assist pediatric patients in developing or regaining cognitive, speech, language, feeding/swallowing, and social/emotional functioning to improve independence by implementing skilled interventions.
  • Educate, coach, and empower caregivers and families to develop skills for carrying over therapeutic activities into daily routines.
  • Coordinate with referral partners to deliver services according to physician orders.
  • Design and instruct patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise programs to ensure continuation of therapeutic plans post-discharge.
  • Document patient care services and care coordination in an electronic medical record system.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
