Charming Lakes Rehabilitation in Lakeland, FL is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dedicated team. You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders to help residents regain independence and improve quality of life in a supportive, interdisciplinary environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology, Florida SLP license, CCC from ASHA (or in progress), and at least 2 years’ experience in skilled

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Active Florida SLP license or eligibility to obtain.
• CCC from ASHA (or in progress).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive, and dysphagia disorders with individualized plans.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy tailored to residents’ needs and goals.
• Recommend and train residents on adaptive communication devices and strategies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for resident-centered care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and monitor outcomes.
• Educate and lead staff; supervise support personnel as appropriate.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of therapy equipment.
• Engage with residents and families to provide education and support.

Charming Lakes Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will help residents regain vital communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities while enhancing their overall quality of life in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Position Summary

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a key role in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Your expertise will directly contribute to improving resident independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate & Treat: Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for speech, language, cognition, and dysphagia.
• Implement Interventions: Deliver evidence-based therapy tailored to each resident’s needs and goals.
• Communication Support: Recommend, implement, and train residents on adaptive communication devices and strategies.
• Collaborate: Work closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, resident-centered care.
• Track Progress: Maintain accurate documentation, monitor outcomes, and adjust care plans as needed.
• Educate & Lead: Provide guidance to staff and supervise support personnel as appropriate.
• Equipment Management: Ensure proper use and maintenance of therapy equipment.
• Family Engagement: Communicate effectively with residents and families, offering education and support throughout the care process.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active Florida SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) from ASHA (or in progress)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred, ideally in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting
