Job summary

CommuniCare Rehab is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) at Keyser Healthcare Center to join our in-house rehab team. This full-time role offers direct resident impact and collaboration with interdisciplinary staff.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology and a state license (valid or pending). We provide a supportive, growth-oriented environment with numerous benefits and opportunities to work across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's and/or a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an Accredited Program.
• Hold a valid or pending State Speech Language Pathology License.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, review, and screen patients/residents' medical charts, evaluations under physician order and develop a treatment plan based on patient needs.
• Plan, direct, or conduct rehabilitative treatment programs to improve communication, swallowing, and cognitive issues, and administer, score, and interpret speech tests.
• Instruct residents, families, and caregivers to monitor speech and provide strategies to practice new skills and dietary/swallowing modifications.
• Attend/lead interdisciplinary meetings to relay clinical findings and make recommendations to rehab team, and participate in family meetings/education.
• Opportunity to treat at multiple locations to serve diverse resident needs.
