Job summary

North-Texas-Therapy-and-Home-Car seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide skilled services in patients' homes and daytime facilities for ages 0–21, at least twice weekly per physician orders. Requires pediatric experience, Texas license, and CFY completion; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Masters in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college/university.
• Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship year, CCC-SLP.
• Texas license to practice Speech-Language Pathology.
• Experience in pediatrics required.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Must carry valid auto insurance and driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients 0-21 years old, 2+ times per week per physician orders.
• Define degree and type of impairments using appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
• Plan and evaluate team goals with the multidisciplinary team and advise/intervene in speech therapy modalities.
• Plan for and modify care to meet speech therapy goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and in-service programs.
• May supervise Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or SLP Assistants with 3+ years of experience.

• Experience in pediatrics required

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define patients degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
