Job summary

North-Texas-Therapy-and-Home-Car is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide skilled pediatric services in home health settings around Allen, TX. You will evaluate, treat, and document disorders across speech, language, voice, feeding, and related areas, following physician orders and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates hold a Master's in SLP, Texas licensure with CFY/CCC-SLP, and pediatric experience. Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University.
• Licensed to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Texas; CCC-SLP and CFY completed.
• Experience in pediatrics; home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus; valid auto insurance and driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years old, 2+ times per week per physician orders.
• Define degree and type of impairment and select testing instruments to assess speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, and related areas.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate goals and educate staff and caregivers on therapy modalities.
• Plan for and modify care to meet therapy goals; educate staff and families through training and materials.
• May supervise Clinical Fellows or SLP assistants if possessing 3+ years of experience.

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University
• Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship year, CCC-SLP
• License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics required
• Home health experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Must carry valid auto insurance and drivers license.

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define patients degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
