Job summary

Adoration Health is expanding in Charlottesville, VA and is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join Rehab In Motion. The role offers flexible hours, clinical autonomy, and the opportunity to provide 1:1 patient care in a supportive team environment.

Qualified candidates have a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, SLP state license, CPR certification, and are prepared for TB screening and insurance verification. Prior geriatric/outpatient experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Valid SLP license in the practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Two‑step TB skin test required.
• Proof of auto insurance.
• Minimum 1 year of SLP experience preferred.
• Knowledge of evidence‑based therapy interventions.
• Familiarity with assisted living, independent living, geriatrics and/or home health.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients with speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disorders.
• Regularly reassess effectiveness of treatment plans and attend staffing meetings and family conferences.
• Perform discharge evaluations and provide safety recommendations and resources.
• Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, patient and family.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to coordinate care and improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

What you will do: Responsibilities listed include but are not limited to:

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients with speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disorders

• Perform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for safety, and provide referral and education resources
• Communicate patient's needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, person receiving services and family members
• Communicate with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, coordination of care and enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

What you will need:

• Minimum of a Master's Degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• Valid Speech Language Pathology license in the state(s) of practice
• Current live CPR certification
• Two‑step TB skin test required
• Proof of auto insurance
• A minimum of one year's work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist preferred
• Demonstrates knowledge of evidence‑based therapy interventions
• Familiarity with assisted living, independent living, geriatrics and/or home health
• Communicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interactions
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds following safety procedures
• Fine motor skills, visual acuity and ability to walk/stand for extended periods
• Additional physical requirements include pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently at times
• A health screen or examination may be required prior to assignment and periodically thereafter, depending on specific location policy, local and state regulations

Salary Range

USD $45.00 – $50.00 / Hour
