Job summary

Adoration Health, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, is expanding Rehab In Motion in Charlottesville, VA and is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist to join our team.

Rehabilitation services focus on empowering clients with strength and independence in Independent Living, Assisted Living, geriatric and/or outpatient settings. Flexible schedules and a supportive team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
• Valid SLP license in the state(s) of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Two-step TB skin test required.
• Minimum of one year as a Speech Language Pathologist preferred.
• Demonstrates knowledge of evidence-based therapy interventions.
• Familiarity with assisted living, independent living, geriatrics and/or home health.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with proper safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients with speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disorders.
• Regularly reassess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings and family conferences.
• Perform discharge evaluations and provide referrals and education resources.
• Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, patient and family members.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to enhance patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

What you will do: Responsibilities listed include but are not limited to:

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients with speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disorders

• Communicate with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, coordination of care and enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

What you will need:

• Minimum of a Master's Degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• Valid Speech Language Pathology license in the state(s) of practice
• Current live CPR certification
• Two‑step TB skin test required
• Proof of auto insurance
• A minimum of one year's work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist preferred
• Demonstrates knowledge of evidence‑based therapy interventions
• Familiarity with assisted living, independent living, geriatrics and/or home health
• Communicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interactions
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds following safety procedures
• Fine motor skills, visual acuity and ability to walk/stand for extended periods
• Additional physical requirements include pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently at times
• A health screen or examination may be required prior to assignment and periodically thereafter, depending on specific location policy, local and state regulations

Salary Range

USD $45.00 – $50.00 / Hour
