Job summary

HealthPro Heritage in El Paso, TX invites a PRN Speech Language Pathologist to join our 160-bed SNF team, providing comprehensive evaluations, diagnoses, and therapy to improve swallowing, voice, and communication. We emphasize collaboration, accurate documentation in EHRs, and ongoing professional growth.

Required: degree in SLP, state licensure, and ASHA CCC-SLP, with strong clinical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist, or license eligible.
• ASHA CCC-SLP certification.
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapy abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and observations; develop accurate diagnoses.
• Treatment and Education: Deliver evidence-based therapies; monitor and adjust treatment plans; educate patients and families on disorders and strategies.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and plans in the EHR; ensure compliance with standards.
• Collaboration: Work with healthcare providers and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Licensure: Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible
• Certification: Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
• Skills: Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
