Job summary

Douglasville Center for Nursing and Healing is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to conduct patient evaluations, develop care plans, and administer prescribed therapies. The SLP will collaborate with referring physicians to optimize patient function and ensure accurate billing for services.

The role also includes supervising support staff and participating in CQI activities to uphold high standards of patient care within our facility.

Qualifications

• Licensed professional qualifications required for speech-language pathology as prescribed by law.
• Experience in patient evaluations and care planning is preferred.

Job Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) plays a crucial role in patient care, responsible for evaluations, care planning, and administering therapeutic interventions as prescribed by a licensed physician. The SLP administers treatments and physical agents to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability. Collaborating with referring physicians, the SLP assists patients in reaching their maximum performance and level of functioning while promoting adaptation to their capabilities. Additionally, the SLP ensures accurate and timely submission of patient charges and supervises support staff (OT/PT Aide, etc.). Participation in departmental operations, performance improvement, and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities is integral to the role.
