Job summary

Betsy Ross Nursing & Rehab Center is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to oversee and provide therapy for residents, focusing on communication, cognition, and swallowing. The role supports rehabilitation in a newly renovated facility under new administration.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm, with starting pay of $40/hr–$47/hr for CFY and $47/hr–$55/hr for CCC. Up to a $2K signing bonus and excellent benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must hold appropriate professional license in NY in good standing.
• Adhere to all state and federal regulations regarding SLP therapy.
• SNF/Nursing Home experience required.
• An SLP/CCC or SLP/CFY (Required).
• Dedicated to providing extraordinary, clinically sound, & compassionate care.
• Excellent communication, customer service, & organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Optimize communication, cognitive-linguistic abilities, and swallowing skills of residents.
• Build a program to prevent, assess, evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in adults.
• Provide training and educate residents and families on programs.
• Provide quality patient care including screening, evaluation, initial and ongoing treatment plans, discharge planning, and case management responsibilities.

SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST, SLP SCHEDULE:

• Speech Language Pathologist, SLP will optimize communication, cognitive-linguistic abilities, and swallowing skills of residents by providing, directing, and/or overseeing a strong Speech Language Pathology, SLP therapy program.
• Speech Language Pathologist, SLP will build a program to prevent, assess, evaluate, diagnose, and treat any disorders that the resident has been diagnosed with that effect speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in adults.
• Speech Language Pathologist, SLP will provide training and educate the resident and their loved ones on the programs
• Speech Language Pathologist, SLP will Provide quality patient care including screening and evaluation of patients, development of initial and ongoing treatment plans of care, discharge plan, and case management responsibilities.

Requirements

• Must hold appropriate professional license in NY in good standing
• Adhere to all state and federal regulations regarding SLP therapy
• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)/Nursing Home Experience Required
• An SLP/CCC or SLP/CFY (Required)
• Dedicated to providing extraordinary, clinically sound, & compassionate care
• Must possess a spirit of cooperation, caring & enthusiasm to create an atmosphere conducive to rehabilitation & optimal resident health
• Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, & sometimes challenging residents
• Have excellent communication, customer service, & organization skills
• Able to work well under pressure & willing to work harmoniously with all staff
