We are hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for one of our clients in Chambersburg, PA.

Job Description

The Speech Language Pathologist will primarily provide outpatient rehabilitation services in an in-home setting for the older adult population. This may include private residences, assisted living, or independent living facilities. The role involves evaluating and treating patients in their most functional environment, organizing and providing speech-language services to facilitate rehabilitation, and promoting communication and swallowing skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of CFYs, students, and support personnel as per licensure requirements.
• Adherence to treatment schedules, documentation, and participation in meetings.
• Collaboration with the rehabilitation team and physicians to develop and adapt treatment plans.
• Promotion of a safe environment and proper equipment management.
• Assessment and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders, including cognitive-communication, speech intelligibility, oral motor skills, and dysphagia.
• Coordination of adaptive communication devices and hearing deficit referrals.
• Patient education and progress evaluation.
• Coordination of care with interdisciplinary team members.
• Other related duties as required.

Educational and Vocational Requirements

• Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in the state(s) of practice or proof of license eligibility.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship.
• Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.

Work Hours

• First shift, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with a 30-minute meal break.
