Job summary

Recover-Care Healthcare in Beloit, KS is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech or language disorders and to formulate individualized treatment programs.

You will work under physician direction, conduct assessments, develop care plans, and educate families, while maintaining accurate documentation and traveling as needed to meet patient care goals.

Qualifications

• Masters or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• State license as a speech pathologist is required.
• Proficiency with applicable state, federal, and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, hearing, cognitive, or swallowing issues.
• Provide direct patient treatment under physician's direction.
• Develop care plans and document progress.
• Administer and interpret speech tests.
• Educate residents and families on practicing new skills.
• Maintain accurate patient records and complete forms per policy.
• Travel to perform job as needed.

Job Summary

The Speech Pathologist will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech or language disorders, formulate individualized treatment programs.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, hearing, cognitive, or swallowing issues.
• Under a physician’s direction, provides direct patient / resident treatment based on established plan of care.
• Screens and evaluates Resident and develops appropriate care plan
• Plans, directs, or conducts rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communicative efficiency of individuals with communication and / or swallowing or cognitive problems.
• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Instructs residents, families, and caregivers to monitor speech and provide ways to practice new skills.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
• Maintains patient records in an accurate and timely manner.
• Devises special tools and treatments for the specific needs of patients.

Education and Experience

• Graduate of an accredited Masters, or Doctorate in Speech language Pathology.
• State license as a speech pathologist required.
