Job summary

Aspire Senior Living East Prairie, a skilled nursing facility in Missouri, is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our per diem team. You will work with residents to identify and address communication and swallowing disorders, develop individualized treatment plans, and contribute to a warm, resident-focused care environment.

As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will deliver evidence-based interventions, document progress, and support families and caregivers,

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program.
• Clinical fellowship completed and CCC-SLP certification in Missouri.
• Experience with older adults and cognitive, speech, and swallowing disorders.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in residents.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including speech therapy sessions and caregiver training.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify and address communication needs and develop strategies for improving resident communication.
• Provide education and support to residents, families, and caregivers on communication and swallowing disorders.
• Document treatment plans, progress notes, and billing information accurately and timely.
• Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives and stay current with industry developments and best practices.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse populations
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
