As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with our per diem team, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide speech therapy services to our residents. Your Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) expertise will help to identify and address communication disorders, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to improve our residents' quality of life. Your passion for delivering exceptional care will make a tangible difference in the lives of our seniors.
Assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in our resident population
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including speech therapy sessions and caregiver training
Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to identify and address communication needs and develop strategies for improving resident communication
Provide education and support to residents, families, and caregivers on communication and swallowing disorders
Document treatment plans, progress notes, and billing information accurately and timely
Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives and stay current with industry developments and best practices
Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program
Clinical fellowship completed and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) in the state of Missouri
Experience working with older adults and individuals with cognitive, speech, and swallowing disorders
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse populations
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
