Job summary

Apple Rehab Avon, a rural Avon, CT facility, seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The role provides quality resident care to help patients achieve maximum functional ability while maintaining positive interaction with staff and residents.

The ideal candidate has an accredited SLP degree with CCC or CFY eligibility; prior long-term care experience is preferred. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• CCC or CFY status and licensure eligibility.
• Prior long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, develop, organize and implement resident care programs with speech therapy procedures in individual and group sessions.
• Manage caseload through screening and scheduling of treatment while maintaining productivity.
• Instruct resident, family and caregivers in speech therapy to be continued after discharge.
• Adhere to PPS guidelines and ensure all documentation and billing conform to policies.
• Provide oversight and educate affiliating students in collaboration with the Rehabilitation Director.
• Ensure the physical surroundings and equipment are sanitary, orderly and safe.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and privacy; uphold Residents’ Bill of Rights.
