Job summary

Avamere Skilled Advisors, LLC d/b/a Avamere Living seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist (PRN) to provide and direct all aspects of patient care, including evaluation, treatment planning, and family education. The role supports department operations, ensures safety, and contributes to quality assurance with ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities include delivering licensed speech pathology services, supervising assistants, documenting evaluations and progress, and maintaining licensure

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved curriculum in Speech Language Pathology.
• Able to practice unencumbered.
• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• Must maintain active CPR/BLS during employment.
• Working knowledge of Medicare and other payer sources.

Responsibilities

• Provides speech pathology services to patients according to licensure.
• Directs and supervises the work of assistants and rehab staff per guidelines.
• Follows safety procedures for patient safety and personal protection.
• Expands clinical knowledge through continuing education and associations.
• Develops treatment plans and documents progress and outcomes.
• Communicates patient status and needs to care teams and families.
• Performs evaluations and develops informed treatment plans.
• Docu­mentation including evaluations, progress notes, and reports.
