Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited program.
• SLP license in the practicing state.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA) within 90 days.
• No experience required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet hospital competencies and age-related care.

Responsibilities

• Interprets referrals and conducts speech/language evaluations.
• Develops and implements written plans of care with goals.
• Monitors outcomes and adjusts treatment plans; reports to physicians.
• Discharges patients with home programs and teaching.
• Completes documentation, billing, scheduling, and productivity.
• Promotes safety and infection control; participates in improvements.
• May supervise non-licensed staff and support student education.
