Job summary

RCM Healthcare Services is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a Rochester, MI on-site school setting. The role centers on conducting comprehensive speech-language evaluations for students, interpreting results, and developing legally compliant reports to inform eligibility decisions and instructional planning.

The compensation is $61-66 per hour, with a 35–37.5 hour week and a 3-month contract.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college/university.
• Current MI SLP License is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations to assess communication disorders.
• Interpret assessment results and develop clear, legally compliant written evaluation reports.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and service delivery models to address student communication needs.
• Provide direct speech-language therapy services in individual and group settings in accordance with IEP goals.
• Serve as a resource and consultant to teachers, staff, and families regarding speech, language, and communication development.
• Maintain current knowledge of evidence-based practices, research, and methodologies in speech-language pathology.
• Participate in Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team (MET) meetings, Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, and other school-based meetings as required.
• Collaborate with general education and special education staff to support student progress across academic and social environments.
• Participate in school committees, professional learning communities, and district initiatives to support student achievement and communication access.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines.

Position Summary

The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for conducting comprehensive speech-language evaluations for students referred by teachers, parents, and other educational staff. The SLP must demonstrate expertise in a range of areas, including assessment practices, instructional resources, and evidence-based intervention strategies to support diverse student needs. • Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations to assess communication disorders, including articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication skills.
• Interpret assessment results and develop clear, legally compliant written evaluation reports that include findings, eligibility recommendations, and educational implications.

Physical Requirements
