Job summary

Mt. Pleasant Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our therapy team.

You will provide SLP services to residents, develop treatment plans, supervise assistants when applicable, and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines while delivering high-quality patient care. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
• Valid state Speech Language Pathologist license.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), where applicable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic internet navigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language pathology services, screening, evaluation, and treatment planning.
• Ensure documentation and billing comply with state and federal guidelines.
• Provide regular updates to Rehabilitation leadership regarding activities and operations.
• Maintain patient-centered interactions with patients, staff, and facilities.
• Refer patients for treatment to SLP Assistants and provide supervision when applicable.
• Participate in utilization reviews, care conferences, and interdisciplinary team activities.
• Develop and enhance SLP programs and services to support quality outcomes.
• Ensure environmental safety, infection control, and patient rights policies.
• Maintain licensure and ASHA certification as required.
• Maintain confidentiality of facility and patient information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
