Job summary

Mesa Hills Post Acute is seeking a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents, coordinate with families and physicians, and document services in medical records.

You will develop individualized treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognition, and communication, mentor CFY students, and participate in care conferences and compliance training.

The role requires TX state licensure, ability to supervise, and commitment to infection control and quality assurance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or higher.
  • Licensed as a Speech Therapist in the state.
  • CPR certification, if required by licensure.
  • Ability to read and interpret policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency with clinical documentation and care coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehabilitation potential.
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognition, and communication.
  • Supervise CFY-Speech Clinical Fellows and students when applicable.
  • Communicate progress and discharge plans with physicians, families, and staff.
  • Complete timely, compliant documentation in accordance with regulations.
