Job summary

KALESTA HEALTHCARE GROUP in Merced, CA is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide and direct all aspects of patient care in a skilled care setting. This full-time role emphasizes evaluation, treatment planning, documentation, and education for patients and families.

Responsibilities include supervising assistants and students, ensuring safety, coordinating with rehab teams, and maintaining compliance with state/federal guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved curriculum in Speech and Language Pathology.
• Current, active license as Speech Pathologist.
• CPR Certification, as required for license renewal.
• Experience in long term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises the work of assistants and students per State/Federal guidelines.
• Develops treatment plans and provides treatment aligned with patient needs and reimbursements.
• Educates staff and payors on benefits and functional outcomes of intervention.
• Completes documentation including evaluations, progress notes, and reports as required.
• Maintains professional licensure and credentialing.
