Job summary

KALESTA HEALTHCARE GROUP in Merced, CA seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist for full-time patient care leadership in a skilled care setting. You will evaluate, treat, plan goals, and educate families while maintaining documentation standards.

Responsibilities include supervising assistants, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with the rehab team to optimize patient outcomes in a complex care environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Speech-Language Pathology program.
• Current, active license as Speech-Language Pathologist and able to practice unencumbered.
• CPR Certification, as required for license renewal.
• Experience in long-term care preferred.
• Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information in English.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises assistants and students per State and Federal guidelines.
• Develops treatment plans and provides treatment for optimal functional outcomes.
• Educates staff and payors on benefits and outcomes of interventions.
• Documents evaluations, daily progress notes, summaries and reports as required.
• Communicates patient status and needs to patients, families, caregivers and care team.
