Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Rehabilitation Services in Flushing, NY is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Department. This full-time role is Sunday–Thursday, 8:00 am–4:00 pm, and focuses on delivering patient-centered care to medically complex individuals in inpatient and outpatient settings.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• ASHA CCC‑SLP credential is required.
• Active NYS SLP license is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Bilingual language skills desirable.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat medically complex patients with communication and swallowing disorders in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Coordinate care plans and provide education and support to patients, families, and staff.
• Serve as a clinical resource and contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the department.
• Build a foundation for professional growth, advancement, and leadership opportunities.

Education

Master’s Degree from an accredited Speech‑Language Pathology program

Active New York State Speech‑Language Pathology license

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP)

BLS certification (American Heart Association)
