Adept Nursing & Rehab of North Platte is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat residents with speech, swallowing, and cognitive disorders in accordance with state and federal guidelines.

Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, developing plans of care, administering tests, devising therapy tools, and educating residents and families. A Master of Science in SLP, current state licensure, and clinical certification are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current license in Speech Therapy as required by state law.
• Certification in clinical competency.
• One-year clinical experience preferred.
• Experience with cognitive and dysphagia rehabilitation within a skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Knowledge in short-term and long-term SLP care.

Responsabilités

• Under physician supervision, provide quality SLP services including evaluation, screening, and establishing plan of care.
• Plan and conduct rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communicative abilities and swallowing function.
• Administer, score, and interpret hearing and speech tests.
• Devise tools and treatments for individual patient needs.
• Instruct residents, families, and caregivers on monitoring speech and practicing skills.
• Complete timely documentation including progress notes, screen reports, daily notes, and discharge summaries.
• Educate patients and staff on goals, progress, and therapeutic techniques.
• Ensure compliance with protocols and regulations.
