Responsibilities

• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate care plans.
• Under physician direction, provides direct patient treatment per plan.
• Plans, directs, or conducts rehabilitative programs to improve communication or swallowing.
• Administers, scores, and interprets hearing and speech tests.
• Instructs residents and families to monitor speech and practice skills.
• Completes forms and documents per policy and regulations.
• Maintains patient records accurately and timely.
• Devises special tools and treatments for patient needs.
