Job summary

Bay Marina Post Acute is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct patient care in our therapy department. You will develop treatment plans to improve speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities while coordinating with families, physicians, and the care team.

Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive evaluations, documenting progress, supervising Clinical Fellows and other SLPs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and billing requirements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in speech-language pathology evaluation and treatment for medically based disorders.
• Ability to supervise and direct assistants and aides; knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to work with all staff and patients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment programs to maximize speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities.
• Evaluate and treat patients and communicate with families, physicians, and health team.
• Document services in medical records and manage Medicare reviews with Rehab Director.
• Educate families and nursing staff in follow-up programs.
• Collaborate with the rehab team in conferences and care planning.
• Demonstrate safe working practices and maintain facility safety.
